Sketches! (7/?)

Back to posting my massive collection of sketches! Of course coming from my sketchbook, and random sheets of paper I drew stuff on. If you wanna see some more sketches of mine be sure to check my bluesky account!

Keep in mind some of these were drawn in May of this year.

First off are these sketches of Cyborg 009 (Joe) and Cyborg 008 (Pyunma). I've been watching a ton of the Cyborg 009 anime (specifically the one from 2003), and videos about certain pieces of Cyborg 009 media that wasn't brought over to the states, and it got me hooked, so I doodled three doodles of both 009 and 008, mostly for practice and because I've wanted to draw these two for quite a while. I might make a dedicated Cyborg 009 piece someday.

Next is more on the emotional side, centered around Astro Boy and the boy he was built after, Tobio Tenma. I haven't drawn anything Astro Boy related in a while, so I mostly drew this to get back into the groove of drawing him, I am proud of the final result, though I'm not proud of Astro's boots. 

Next is a collection of Tobi the Alien doodles, made after I finished Mega Man V. ESPON. I wanted to get back into drawing him, mostly in preparation for the 13th comic. Also drew Tabi kissing him, and Ricky in his pajamas. Along with a unique design based off of the Sonic Riders games

These two drawings are related to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his feline wife Ortensia in Kingdom Hearts, the Oswald ones are of him dressed in the Organization XIII robe, akin to how Mickey wore the robe to disguise himself.

Where as Ortensia gets drawn as a royal queen to fit along side Queen Minnie and Queen Daisy! I mostly felt like doodling these since I see a ton of "What if Oswald was in Kingdom Hearts" but barely any for his wife/co-star. I also doodled her about to embrace Oswald and her along side Kairi (who I have to draw more of)

Next are these drawings of a new character of mine, Juliet! I mostly wanted to draw her to go along side Piper, since both were inspired by Osamu Tezuka's cast of characters. I also drew a piece with Piper and Juliet together, with Juliet holding a stuffed bunny, that's meant to be Greg the Bunny.

One female original character to another, here's a trio of doodles of Jitsuko, a lioness character of mine, mostly drew her since I haven't drawn her in a LONG while, plus she's very fun to draw. I also doodled her in the character Ulala from Space Channel 5's outfit.

From one furry character to another, here's Jun! A skulldog character who I've toyed around with for a while, but never went back to until earlier this month where I gave him a detective coat and rubber hose gloves. (also ignore the 24, that WAS his age but now I consider him in his late 40s to early 50's)

And last but not least, a sketch of Smiley dressed in a Michael Jackson influenced outfit being a blend of MJ's Bad and Black or White outfit. Along with Smiley making a goofy face haha. super proud of this one, thought you can tell I had trouble drawing the armband MJ wore in Black or White.

Lineless NiGHTS 2

Been a while since I've made a dedicated NiGHTS into Dreams piece, so last night, I decided to draw NiGHTS themself sitting on a large red Ideya orb, while holding up a star. The pose NiGHTS is in is mostly taken from one of my favorite illustrators Tad Hoshiya, they draw a ton of Lupin the III related pieces, along with some cute anime girls haha.

So Called Royalty

Today I felt like drawing these two cooky creatures of mine, Carrie and Smiley! Since it's been a while since I've doodled these two (I've been very busy haha). So I thought about drawing them in very formal King and Queen outfits, mostly using playing cards as reference. 

Originally I wanted to draw Carrie as the queen and Smiley as the king, but I realized it wouldn't fit them, so I drew them in the opposite roles! Plus I've always wanted to draw Smiley in drag, mostly because I thought it would be funny. Had a ton of fun drawing the outfits, including Smiley's dress

Tobi #12 Computer

Finally back to working on Tobi again! Including the integration of his little bro Dex into the comics! I've always wanted to include him in the comics but I didn't really know how to do so. So I ended up asking one of my friends for an idea, said idea involved Tobi, Dex, and a tacky computer.

The whole comic is honestly just my excuse to draw computers, they're very cool (especially old computers haha)

Shadow Leonhart

So here's an idea of mine that I rarely ever see, Shadow the Hedgehog dressed as Squall Leonhart from Final Fantasy. I always see people draw Shadow as Dante from Devil May Cry (which is also fitting), but never the guy with a literal gunblade.

That and I also saw people draw him with Sephiroth's long masamune to match with whenever people draw Sonic with a red buster sword. Which, in my opinion, I find unfitting. So I decided to draw Shadow wearing Leon's jacket and gloves, along with him holding his gunblade. This is my first time drawing the gunblade so it looks kinda rough. I also decided to color both the eyeliner and the stripes on his spines.

MEGA MAN vs ESPON

After a month and a half of production, my first proper animation of the year is complete! This was in the making since around late 2025 when I first got the idea to make Mega Man fight my own character ESPON. I never decided to go through with it until around April when I re-opened the .fla file, and when I was getting back into sprite animation.

It's honestly one of the main reasons why I've neglected to post here (animation takes time lol) but don't fret! Since I'm done with this I'll try to get back into the swing of things. But for now here's the animation in its entirety

Tobi the Alien: 1 Year Anniversary

It's officially been one year since I've created the green goober himself, Tobi the Alien! And most importantly one year since I've made the original comic! To celebrate I drew a doodle of Tobi blowing out a candle on a little birthday cake.

Along with a collection of doodles of Tobi and friends celebrating, with Ricky and Dex cheering around him, along with a newer face, Tabi! who's basically the Minnie to Tobi's Mickey. I haven't done much with her yet but I do plan on making her more prominent in the comics and future Tobi projects. 

Honestly I still can't believe that it's already been a year since I've created Tobi and introduced him into the world through his comics. I do wanna quickly apologize for kinda putting Tobi and his world on the back burner, especially throughout this whole month. Burnout and me being busy with other things both outside and online obviously means Tobi's not gonna always be on my mind, although I do plan to push out a comic either before the month ends, or during May. No promises though

Neither less thank you all for showing your love for the Green Goober, and of course, Happy Birthday Tobi!

Saturday Sonic Doodles

I was gonna post these on saturday last week but (like always) I neglected to, so I thought I show them off tonight! First off are a collection of warmup doodles of Sonic and Tails, It was just gonna be Sonic but I realized I haven't drawn his little buddy in a while, so I decided to draw him too, a ton of these doodles have my own little personal quirks to it, mostly Tails.

Sonic's were mostly based off the adventure era art by Yuji Uekawa and Satoshi Okano, there's also a little Classic Sonic running at the bottom, based off of Sonic R

For Tails I based a ton of his doodles off of Yasushi Yamaguchi (or Judy Totoya), giving how much I love the way he draws him, granted he did design him lol, the little expressions next to him are based off of an expression sheet of Astro Boy.

The Next few doodles is me hopping onto the Gijinka fad that everyone loves (it's basically japanese for anthropomorphism), and of course I made one based off of Sonic! The design was mostly influenced by others attempts at a human Sonic (mostly the hair), with the outfit being influenced mostly by Sora from Kingdom Hearts with the pants being influenced by Michael Jackson's BAD outfit, mostly the pants.

I also drew him with a human Amy Rose, using her classic design as a base, with Sonic (or Nikki) wearing a Sega varsity jacket (also worn by Michael Jackson! and The Weeknd too) last doodle is taken from a piece from Sonic the Screensaver where Sonic's both on the phone and using his laptop at the same time... kinda like me haha. The name Nikki is mostly taken from the Shogakukan Sonic manga.

Sketches! (6/?)

Been a while since I've shown off my ever expanding collection of sketches haha, so I thought I share a few with you all, both from my sketchbook, and random sheets of paper I drew stuff on! you can also find them easily and early on my bluesky account.

Keep in mind a ton of these are from March of this year. 

First up is a couple of human doodles of my characters, Clover, Orchid, and Iris! I wanted to draw them since I very rarely ever draw them nowadays, shame because I still like these guys, though I currently don't know what I want to do with them.. maybe I'll animate them one day. 

 Next is a collection of doodles of my kitty, Carrie! I don't think I've shared them here. the second doodle has Carrie wearing an outfit worn by Michael Jackson in the music video for They Don't Care About Us (really good song by the way), the little doodles at the bottom right are of Carrie dressed as Link, which are based off of these doodles from the original Legend of Zelda japanese manual.

Next is a collection of one of my favorite Disney characters, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit! giving how I drew Mickey in this same sketchbook, it felt natural to draw Oswald as well, I also drew a little doodle of him skiing, which was done using a pen, I also felt like it would be neat to draw Tobi shaking hands with Oswald since he inspired Tobi's long rabbit like ears haha.

Next is a trio of Jon Talbain from the CAPCOM game Darkstalkers! I've drawn him before but I felt like drawing him more in my style, plus I love me a good werewolf character (with a kickass design like Jon's). He's pretty difficult to draw, especially the weird hair thing he's got, though I managed to make it work.

These doodles were just gonna be me drawing a couple of city-scapes for practice, like the one up top. But I felt like including NiGHTS and Reala from NiGHTS into Dreams due to me wanting to draw them instead, along with a sketchy doodle of Spring Valley. I haven't drawn Reala in a while so it was fun drawing him all grumpy while NiGHTS flew beside him.

Next is a collection of draws of a Sonic character I haven't drawn in a while, Amy Rose! I've always wanted to draw her more since I am a fan of her design. the second pose is taken from a Minnie Mouse model sheet, while the last doodle at the bottom is a design of a Super Amy form, originally made by Steven3004 another cool artist you should check out if you love Sonic (and shipping)

Here's an underrated character, that I personally feel like needs more love, Ristar! made by the same crew who made Sonic and NiGHTS (that being Sonic Team of course) being a anthropomorphic star dude with stretchy limbs, kinda like that Luffy guy from One Piece.. I've always had a soft spot for Ristar his design reminds me a ton of Osamu Tezuka's work, mostly his characters Astro Boy and Kenichi 

 Next is a collection of Ricky, one of the doodles has him being picked up by a hand (probably mine hehe). and the next few are of him in a more summer attire, since during Spring Break, I was on a semi vacation with my Mom, mostly just crashing at a Holiday Inn. I actually didn't get around to finishing this page until later after we left. tho I am proud of these doodles, Ricky's very fun to draw. Also you can find two little doodles of the character of Greg the Bunny who's from an adult puppet show that I've grown fond of (Thanks Evan.)

Next is a few more doodles of Orchid and Clover, including Piper now! along with a few cats, since I was watching a trio of animated commercials for cat food by British animator Joanna Quinn one of them just being a normal black cat since they're my personal favorite breed.

And finally, a collection of a newer character of mine named Smiley! who is based off of the creepypasta character of Smile Dog/smile.jpg whom is also Carrie's boyfriend! I've drawn Smiley before, but I felt like showing these doodles, since it's what I deem to be his more complete design. my favorite doodle is the one where Carrie and Smiley hold each other arm in arm, along with a sorta crude doodle of my friend Finkriel's sona

Happy Easter!

Almost forgot to draw something for Easter Sunday haha, so I decided to draw something simple, Tobi and his little bro Dexter (or simply Dex) easter egg hunting! Though Dex appears to be bumbling a ton trying to keep his eggs in one basket lol

I've always wanted to draw something with these two since for one, they are brothers, and two I've always liked drawing Dex, and I knew one day I would draw them together haha. There's a bit of one thing that I did end up not adding to the pic, that being Ricky dressed as the easter bunny obviously upset about wearing a stupid costume. I might still draw it one day

Tobi #12 Workout

This comic was originally meant to be out by sunday, making it the first sunday Tobi the Alien comic, though I wasn't able to finish it at the time so I decided to finish it today! I'm honestly proud of the final result (even if I kinda did rush it haha) I've been meaning to bring Cooper back into the comics, since I kinda neglected him when I first made him

In this comic, Cooper comes back! with Tobi using his toy mouse hooked to his fishing rod to get him off of his feet and run around for a little exercise.

I decided to format it like the sunday Garfield comics with a unique Tobi logo instead of the usual one.

Carrie Sneeze

[Originally made on March 14 2025] Felt like animating again and I felt like animating one of my characters, Carrie! more specifically Carrie sneezing. I was gonna just animate her yawning but sneezing seemed more fun to do, that and I always liked animating Carrie (whenever I get around to lol)

 

This little animation test made me realize how much I enjoy animating on twos instead of just animating on ones. I also decided to make it into a GIF since I feel like it fits more as one then the usual MP4 file I normally save my work as. But I might as well share the original video file just 'cause.

Terra - Leader of the Stardroids

Felt like drawing something Mega Man today, and I wanted to draw someone I haven't drawn in a while, Terra! from Mega Man V (Or Rock Man World V) for the Game Boy! the leader of the Stardroids, Terra's a determined fighter made of extraterrestrial materials, who has a nack for cleanliness.

Last time I drew Terra was back in 2024, (which you can find here) so I thought it would be neat to see how much my style has changed, I also felt like shading it, since I rarely shade haha.

Goober's Best Friend

So no Tobi comic today (granted I didn't make the script to one haha), BUT I do have this drawing I just finished after putting it on the back burner for a while, I'll admit sometimes I forget how I want Tobi to look, but I am proud of this final result. And besides, it's been a hot minute since I've drawn Cooper, I do wanna make another comic featuring him, maybe someday.

And for a bonus, here's an expression sheet of Tobi, mostly made to relearn how to draw him, and to see what faces I can make him have besides the typical smirk. a ton of these were taken from Felix the Cat, more specifically the comics drawn by Otto Messmer, one of the co-creators of Felix, though most of the expressions are semi original ones that I've previously drawn before. the sad Tobi one has his ears slightly flop downwards, since his ears since his ears are mostly treated like rabbit ears.

By the way yes, Tobi does drink, but very rarely. (Gotta make sure he's a role-model for the kiddies!)

Sketches! (5/?)

It's a new month so I might as well share some stuff from LAST month! Including some non sketchbook ones, mostly because it's been a hot minute since I've shown off those haha.

First up are these two doodles of Riku from Kingdom Hearts, I haven't drawn him in a hot minute so I felt like doodling him, mostly his design from Kingdom Hearts 1, Which is my own personal favorite design (Dream Drop Distance is a close second), also for some reason I decided to draw Geno from Super Mario RPG.

Next is a collection of doodles of Piper! Mostly practicing how I can mimic Tezuka's style giving how Piper's inspired by a ton of Tezuka's characters I'm proud of the one where he's looking at the lake/pond. also Jiminy Cricket's there too, mostly for this one idea where Piper has a little bug companion. (Like Pinocchio)

Next is a collection of doodles featuring Felix the Cat and Bokko from Wonder 3/Amazing 3, Another Osamu Tezuka character (can you tell that he's one of my favorite mangaka's?) I'm most proud of the Felix doodles it's obviously based off of the 1920's/1930's design (back when he had whiskers)

Next up is this evil lookin' dude, ESPON (all caps when you spell the man's name) who's sort of a hybrid between a Sonic character and a Mega Man character, mostly in terms of him having his own arm buster, His main inspiration is the Gizoid race from Sonic with a few touches to make him a bit more original. He's a bad guy if it wasn't obvious by his ominous stance haha, really proud of the shading on the first doodle ^^ 

Next is a actually a redraw! that being of Mario and Sonic shaking hands after a very intense fight (ala Ryu and Cyclops) the original was drawn back in 2024 and was done in my traditional art/animation program Flash! More specifically Flash CS3 since that was the program I was using at the time. you can view the original piece right here! 

And last but not least, these three doodles of an obscure character from Dragon Ball, Shu! He's personally one of my favorite characters.. ever, due to me being a fan of short goofy characters, or just characters who are the colors orange or purple (Explaining my Blog's logo and layout haha), plus it's been a while since I've drawn him and I wanted to doodle him ^^

Tobi #11 Pizza

For this comic I felt like returning to an old idea involving Tobi that I've had for a while, his love for the popular Italian dish.. Pizza! Mostly inspired by this old doodle I drew when I first drew him back in mid 2025. In this comic, Tobi tries to order a pizza from "Piper's Pizzeria" Only to leave the Waiter/Server unamused in his more fancy way of ordering. Fun Fact, the specific order Tobi's asking for is the kind of pizza I tend to make whenever I don't feel like going to my local Papa Murphy's

I decided to also change the way the comic looks, putting the full logo in and not just the "Tobi" half, along with removing the numbers mostly to make it more like other Newspaper comics (I'll probably add it back if enough people want me to). I also decided to add both a new copyright, and a link to this blog! 'Cause I gotta let the world know that Tobi is my character haha.

Ricky the.. Kangaroo?

So here's a neat thing I found out, every february tons of people (mostly those of the furry variety) like to turn their characters or personas into Kangaroos, or in most instances Louies from Bomberman! This little trend as always peaked my interest, so this year I felt like joining in on the fun, by turning Ricky into a Louie! Whom needless to say is incredibly shocked about his sudden transformation haha.

For those who don't know what Louies are, they're multicolored kangaroo like creatures Bomberman can ride on, each one has different abilities too! I don't feel like listening what those abilities are so check out this article on the Bomberman Wiki right here! Don't know what Ability Ricky would get, if he were even to get one.

Beauty in the Sea of Blood

Consider this my little Valentines Day drawing, even though I personally don't like it. Though I did want to draw this specific art idea for quite a while. Two lovers making out in a sea of blood (edgy ain't it?!) So I decided to say screw it and draw it. I decided to use a simple limited color pallete for this one, using mostly Red, Black, and Grey for the skin.

Took me a while to get the water (or blood) to look good but I am very proud of the final result! I decided to give the couple tribal tattoos, mostly bc I think they look cool as hell.

My Opinion on AI.

Hey all, I rarely make posts about things like this due to it not really fitting the blog, but I feel like I need to get it out there so everyone knows how I feel about the recent evolvement of Artificial Intelligence, more specifically AI. "art" and A.I. "animation"

To keep it short, I hate it. I don't like it one bit. To most people this may seem like me just saying the obvious, and I'm just wasting my time by simply just saying what other people have been saying since 2025. But as an Artist and Animator, I have to witness my fellow artists get their work stolen by people who only view their work as content to feed to the machines and shit out similar looking content.

I miss the days when the machines couldn't even get hands or faces right, but now in our current climate with how much It has evolved, It obviously is going to make people nervous and risk those currently working in the industry, leading to greedy money hungry pigs no longer needing them to make the content they need, and instead will throw them out and replace them with the machines.

Because of the evolution of AI and how much it's slowly getting close to replicating how humans look, draw, and write. Many people are worried that we'll be living in a sort of Terminator like future where the machines take over and replace every single one of us. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist that Humanity will always prevail and machines will forever just be machines. I'm sick of everyone around me constantly bending backwards and letting the machines rape work that was made by people both living and those whom have since crossed the rainbow bridge.

Needless to say, as much as the Machines will evolve and how much those pigs will continue to push it being the future and will replace us actual artists, there will always be those who actually put effort in their work, even if it doesn't turn out great. That's what I love about being an artist and why the machines will never surpass us.

 I will not be deterred.

Tobi the Alien for Game Boy!

A while back I decided to make little Game Boy/Game Boy Color inspired sprites of Tobi! It's an idea that I've been wanting to make for a while, especially sine I felt like he'd fit in as an obscure mascot platformer haha, The first two sprites were based off of both the normal grayscale color pallete and the more well-known green color oallete of the original Game Boy, and I decided to colorize the Third one, using the somewhat limited colors I could use from the Game Boy Color, I had a ton of fun making these, maybe I'll do something with these one day

Roughed Up Spider-Man

[Originally Drawn on January 24th] So here's a very different kind of drawing style that I felt like experimenting with, Not just me drawing Spider-Man, but also with using more darker shading and a little bit of gradients around the suit. The way Spider-Man looks is based off of this screenshot from the old fan-film Spider-Man: The Green Goblin's Last Stand.

Big the Cat in the style of Sonic Advance

Recently I've been getting back in the mood of making sprites, and it lead me to make two sprites of my favorite character Big the Cat in the style of the Game Boy Advance game; Sonic Advance using a sprite from other GBA Sonic game, Sonic Battle, I made both an idle pose and one based off of this artwork drawn by Yuji Uekawa. I also used the Sonic sprite as scale from Big who is... well big haha

Sketches! (4/?)

So I know I'm mostly posting doodles on this blog currently, but unlike the last post I have more than just two pages to show off haha. So I felt like posting them here, 'cause I can.

First up are two cartoon cats that I happen to enjoy, Sylvester and Bonkers! I haven't drawn these two in a while, but I felt like doing so due to me watching a lot of the original Looney Tunes shorts on Tubi, Also because I just haven't draw these two in a while, and I needed the practice. I decided to color the noses to make it stand out from the rest of the sketch.

Next up are these doodles of Rotor Walrus and Antoine D'Coolette from both Sonic SatAM and the Archie Sonic Comics. I actually own a few of the Archie comics due to my cousin (who's also a huge Sonic dork) handing me down a few of them. Besides that I mostly wanted to draw these two because I wanted to try and draw Sonic characters outside of the normal cast seen in the games, something I tend to rarely do. I drew Rotor both in his post-reboot design and pre-reboot (I like to call them Himbo Rotor and Husky Rotor haha). Antoine was mostly a blend of his post and pre-reboot designs, since I tend to like both.

Then there are these doodles related to Dragon Ball, I mostly drew these due to me reading the 3-1 Manga a ton lately. I didn't feel like drawing much just drew Goku, Krillin, and Puar. I did have fun drawing these especially since I haven't drawn anything DB related in a hot minute, especially of the original series. also this is my first time drawing Puar! 

And last but not least, A collection of doodles featuring Sora from Kingdom Hearts! ....and Sonic..

I mostly was just gonna dedicate it to Sora (and maybe other KH characters) but I felt like doodling Sonic too since there is an official keyblade design made by the folks over on the Sonic Twitter account (I'm not calling it X) I based the Sonic I drew off of both the original Classic design and the design seen in Sonic CD designed by Hisashi Iguchi and animated by Studio Junio (they animated a ton of early Dragon Ball)
