Art Fight Goodie Bag

Hey everyone! Another July means another ArtFight has passed! Sadly I barely contributed for this year, due to lack of motivation, and due to me being focused on my personal projects. Meaning I sadly couldn't fully join in once I had the time too. However, I do have a few pieces from this year from other fellow artists that I would love to share. Credits to each artist will be provided if you want to check them out yourselves!!

First up is this drawing of Tobi hiding a hammer behind his back, drawn by Chance18, I love how mischievous he made Tobi, it weirdly fits him. Chance's art style fits Tobi a ton, and the innocent expression really sells how much of a devious prick Tobi can be!

Next up is this drawing of my rabbit persona drawn by SwearInPencil, I've always loved this particular artist's work, so seeing him draw the wabbit was both very surprising and also very amazing!! I can tell he used this particular piece as a base. Also he's chewing on a carrot. Delightful. 

Next is this funny scenario, involving two trash pandas fighting over a pizza! Drawn by BakerCat! Glad to see Ricky's getting some love even if it involves him well.. acting like a raccoon haha. I also love the addition of little raccoon in the picture, I should draw them one day...

Now we travel to the land of France for this particular drawing of Mr. Wulf. Drawn by Japolf. Bit on the more simple side, but I do adore the style here. Plus it's nice seeing the new design get more love (as apposed to his more recognized brown fur design a ton of people have gotten used to). Really good work!

The next one was a particularly hard one to choose, since I love both pieces drawn of this particular character, but I could NOT include this simple headshot of my rubberhose inspired character, Axel the Roo! Drawn by Chronic_Town_. Really love the addition of pie eyes (I should draw him with those myself) If your curious the other drawing was this one, drawn by Miel5.

Coming up next is another drawing of the wabbit! this time drawn by BHBT2002. I really love how sharp the lines are here, it's like a weird blend of Clerks Animated and Hanna Barbera. I especially love the background, It's very pretty looking.

Last one I'll share is this cute drawing from JGLizardsCorner! being yet ANOTHER piece related to the wabbit (He got eight dedicated drawings, I'm perfectly fine ending it here haha) Just like Pencil before him, I can tell JG used this as an outfit reference. Love the addition of JG's character Lizzie being the one getting pulled out of the hat instead of... well a rabbit.

And there you have it! I've been meaning to share more pieces of fanart for quite a while, so I thought I give a few other artists a chance in the spotlight. If I may have missed any other pieces, then it's mostly because I wanted to limit how much I do want to show. That and I suck at being descriptive outside of me going "I love it!" or "I like it."

Tobi #14 Summer

Back to working on Tobi the Alien! This comic is based off of how my summer's been going so far, Rain, Rain, and... did I mention Rain? It especially applies to a 2 day vacation me and my mother were on. So I thought, "Well why don't I make a comic about it?" So I did!

The comic is also inspired by this early Tobi drawing I made when I first created the character, though with less detailed shorts.

Mr. Maestro

Something I doodled yesterday to help with a very VERY painful headache. Tobi weirdly fits being a maestro. The colors used here were taken from a color palette pack a friend of mine sent me a few years ago, I might continue using them, since they're really cool and pretty looking.

The star effects are stock photos blended in, making it look a lot more whimsical and magical, if that makes sense.

Miscellaneous Art Pieces

Hey all! Apologies for the slow blog posts, I haven't really been motivated to post on this blog, along with me being busy on other things to keep up with sharing my artwork (whoops!) So I thought I'd share a few pieces of artwork of mine, that I was gonna make into their own separate blog posts, but I barely had much to share about them (akin to how I share my sketches). 

First up, this drawing of Ninten (from Mother 1/Earthbound Beginnings) next to a curious Yotsuba (from Yotsuba&). Originally drawn on March 11th. I've always had a fondness for these two characters, since the Mother series was one of the first video game franchises I've ever gotten into (sort of) and since I picked up a volume of the Yotsuba manga from my middle school's library. 

I based the pose off of this drawing Akira Toriyama made of Gohan and Arale. Since I saw these two sharing the same dynamic. I'm most proud of the color choices I used here, Ninten was easy since I used a photo of the clay model used to promote Mother 1, where for Yotsuba, I kinda struggled on what color green I wanted both her hair and her pupils to be, but I found a shade that looked good.

Next is this drawing of Tobi shaking hands with Moon Child! Originally drawn on June 11th. An obscure video game character that became popular a few months back due to a build of a cancelled Amiga port of said game getting leaked, containing a really cool intro song.

I'll admit, I was a wee bit late to the whole Moon Child fad that happened over on Bluesky, but eh, better late then never! Had a ton of fun drawing these two, though I am disappointed at how the background ended up, granted I did record myself drawing this just so I can make it into a speedpaint (Which you can find here), so I couldn't really think of a decent background at the moment. Oh well.

And last but not least, this cute drawing of Stitch and Reuben from the Lilo and Stitch franchise! I drew this for "6/26 day" a day dedicated to who else? Experiment 626! (That's Stitch's code name if you haven't seen the movie). 

Originally I was gonna this on June 25th since that was 625 day (Reuben's code name) and do a 6/26 day piece separately, but I said screw it and combine them both into a singular piece. Which I honestly think is a better idea then what I was gonna do haha. Plus it's been a while since I've drawn both Stitch and Reuben, who are both of my personal favorite experiments. So drawing them together felt fitting.
