Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Felt like getting something out, because I will be busy hanging out with my Family. I was gonna have Tobi dressed as a pilgrim alongside Ricky, but I felt like just drawing Ricky, giving how I haven't drawn the plump raccoon in a while, so I drew him dressed up as a turkey! I don't think he likes it, but that could be just me haha.
You've probably seen this cat character before, as I mentioned her before in one of my blogposts from earlier this month. Her name's Carrie and she's a dork. It's been a while I've drawn a proper doodle of her, so I doodled her on her Nintendo 3ds (Not Sponsored). Pretty proud of this one, giving how hard the pose was for me to get down ^^;
Something I've been wanting to doodle for a while, due to Tobi being influenced by the classic cartoon star Felix the Cat! So I drew Tobi doing what I refer to as The Felix Walk. Where he ruminates by walking with his head down and his arms behind his back.
It's been a while since I've shared some of these doodles, so I thought I'd post a few more stuff from my "Digital Sketchbook" if you will ;)
First drawing is of the internet reviewer The Nostalgia Critic! mostly drawn due to him being someone I always drew whenever I'm bored, and also because he's oddly fun to draw, giving how overly cartoony he is.
Next is a trio of doodles of my friend Serg! I mentioned him before on an older blog post. These were drawn for his birthday which was a few weeks ago. very proud of the second and third one due to how sorta expressive they look, bonus points for that little twinkle I added to the tip of Serg's finger.
Next two are caricatures of Osamu Tezuka and Uncle Walt himself! I gave Mr. Disney a pair of Mickey Mouse ears mostly for shits and giggles. Tezuka was just me drawing his normal persona that appears in his mangas.
The next two are doodles of old laptops. I have a huge fascination for old school computers and laptops, they always looked so interesting to me, and more cool looking that most modern laptops (coming from me who's using a modern laptop, typing this paragraph haha)
Of course I could not forget to draw The Green Goober himself! I wanted to dry and draw him with a unique kind of shading, sorta making it look like crayons/color pencils. Very proud of the final result, especially giving how it shows it's cute side :3
Been a while since I've shown off my rabbit fursona so I doodled him looking goofy about to grill something, using a screenshot from a Samurai Jack DVD exclusive short staring it's creator Genndy Tartakovsky not sure if it's anywhere on the internet (Mostly Archive.org and YouTube)
This one's something I'm very proud of, a very furious Super Sonic! Using a screenshot of Goku from Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13 and also a panel from one of the Archie Sonic comics when drawing the expression, with a few of my own added touches too it.
And last but not least, a quick doodle of Roxas from Kingdom Hearts! I've been meaning to doodle him sometime, and I guess today was the day, this was pretty difficult for me, giving how I've never drew Roxas' normal outfit that he wears instead of his Organization XIII hooded coat, the Keyblade was also pretty tough to draw giving how I've always had an issue getting it to look right, even when drawing Sora.
Regardless, I'm very proud of the final result! was gonna shade the hair too but I decided to keep it flat.
So here's an interesting idea I've had for a while.. Chibis! mostly Chibifying my own cast of characters, I chose three to do this with, Clover, Orchid, and Fynn!
This was very fun to do and was fun to see how these three could look with super deformed proportions, the main influence for how these characters looked was both from the lobby avatars in Dragon Ball FighterZ and the work of Mike Picone (aka Foneycone) who draws characters in his titular simple style go check out his webiste why don't you?
I might make this an option for any clients wishing to commission me via my Ko-Fi I might do this again sometime in the future, If I feel like doing so of course.

Recently I got commissioned by RedemptionMario177/RM177 someone who previously commissioned me in the past, this time they wanted me to draw his Dragon character with Klonoa! A character I haven't drawn in a hot minute so this was kinda tricky for me, but I am proud of how I drew him here, along with RM177's dragon character.

Recently I've been looking at the work of japanese artist Satoshi Okano who is best known for his work at SEGA more specifically Samba De Amigo, Billy Hatcher, and of course Sonic the Hedgehog. More specifically the art he made during the era in between the Sega Saturn and Sonic Adventure 1. One character he made while working at SEGA that stood out to me is Fly the Vampire Bat, a seemingly original character Mr. Okano made during the development of SA1. So like any artistic nerd would, I HAD to draw him! Adding my own personal touches too it without straying to far from the original design.
A bit of a more serious blog post but it's something I've been meaning to get off of my chest for a while.
I've been going through a bit of a crisis when it comes to my artwork, if there's something you need to know about me is that I'm a massive perfectionist, anything that looks off to me even if it's very minor I scrap it and leave it on the cutting room floor. Along with me feeling like I rush my work just to put it out there for people to give me grace and love when that's not helping my creative process.
It's why I rarely do stuff I wish to do, because I always wonder "Will this become popular or will It flop and I'll remain in obscurity." I never tend to break put of my comfort zone often and it causes me to play things WAY to safe, and it lead to things being stale. I wish I wasn't chicken and could break free and be able to experiment without feeling like I'm constantly being judged.
I want to draw stuff not just for you guys but for most importantly, me.

So I realized that my expression game has been.. halted for the most part. So I decided to use one of my more toony characters Mr. Wulf himself! mostly using model sheets from stuff like Lupin the Third and Tom and Jerry. also with some of my additional touches to make it work in my current style.
So since I currently don't have the proper motivation to do full art pieces 24/7 as much as I used to have, I've resorted to simple doodles using Drawpile! It's honestly been a very useful as a digital sketchbook for me (especially since I don't really draw much in my actual sketchbook anymore haha). I normally post these on Bsky but it felt a bit unfair to not have some of them up on there so lemme share a few.
These first few were drawings from a live stream I did last Saturday (which you can check out the VOD here! I'll admit I did end up sounding a bit more quiet so you'll mostly only be able to hear my friends talking over me ^^;)
And finally some late night doodles of Stitch and Reuben from the Lilo and Stitch series and Shadow the Hedgehog wearing a cool jacket, mostly inspired by Leon from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.
Not sure if I'll make this a recurring thing on this blog but if I feel like it I might.
