Megaman X Doodles

Here's someone I haven't drawn in a while! Megaman X! (or just X) I've been meaning to draw him again for quite a while, but I never really had the motivation (or time) to draw him, and also because I did sort of forget how to draw X haha. So I decided to sketch out a few sketches of the evolved super fighting robot, including his look in Megaman X Command Mission! I also felt like coloring the first two mostly to help make it pop, I didn't really feel like coloring Command Mission X though, so I just did the beam scarf that he has.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

It's that time again! CHRISTMASTIME!! I felt like drawing something for the wonderful holiday, of course it had to involve Tobi and Ricky this time the two are Santa's little helpers...eh sort of.. for this piece I wanted to try and draw this in a style I haven't drawn in quite a while, Lineless! I also decided to add four cameo appearances, Let me know if you can spot them ;)

While I am proud of the final result, there is something I want to relearn something I used to for a few older pieces, a talented artist (who I am friends with) made a wonderful tutorial on what I'm talking about, which you can view right here. 

Other than that I do want to wish you all a wonderful and Merry Christmas, and a Happy as hell New Year! This year may have been rough for a few, but that shouldn't sour what is a day for joy and giving.

Opposites Attract

So currently I'm a bit in another artistic slump where I'm constantly busy with other things, It also means that I couldn't work on the 10th Tobi the Alien comic, which will probably come out next year. But no fret! I did manage to crack out one piece that does sorta tease the upcoming comic, featuring two of my characters Tobi (of course) and Ricky! I mostly want to portray them with a sorta Spongebob and Squidward relationship (Or Lucky Piquel and Bonkers for those special people ;3)

Quick Yugi Muto Sketch

It's been a hot minute since I've drawn anything Yu☆Gi☆Oh related, though I have been getting back into it due to me watching GX at the moment, so I felt like sketching the main man himself Yugi Muto! I wasn't gonna color it but I felt like doing so because It would look cooler. also this is the first time I drew him with the Duel Disk! Something I never have done before due to it's complicated design

New OC: Piper!

Been on a bit of a Osamu Tezuka kick lately, not helping with me joining a discord server for fans of Astro Boy, making me wanting to create my own Tezuka influenced character, his name is Piper!

Originally just a bit of doodles, I ended up drawing him in my "Digital Sketchbook" giving him a final colorized look.

I didn't really know what made me wanna put playing cards in his cap but I ended up just deciding that he's a fan of playing/trading cards. The gloves came mostly because I thought they would fit him.

Currently there aren't any ideas going around In my head for what I wanna do with him, but I will keep him around just in case ;)

Clover with a Black Cat

I've been doodling a ton today (some of which you can find on my Bsky) so I thought I'd share this cute one of my character Clover running with a unnamed black cat. Mostly drew this to practice both drawing characters by the side (something I rarely do) and also because I haven't drawn Clover in a hot minute. The black cat was added mostly because I thought it would be cool.

Tobi #9 "Teeth"

Wow I barely did anything with Tobi in October AND November! granted I wasn't fully motivated to make comics again like I am now haha, but thankfully I managed to crank something out, I have plenty of other comic ideas that I'll save for either next year or sometime this month, I wanted to do another simple slient comic giving how I honestly loved how both #2 and #3 came out. It explains why it was just Tobi this time, don't worry! I'll try to make something with him and Cooper! (and maybe show a new face *wink wink*)

Don't worry about Tobi's teeth, he can magically regrow them, he just needed that food out of his teeth :)

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Felt like getting something out, because I will be busy hanging out with my Family. I was gonna have Tobi dressed as a pilgrim alongside Ricky, but I felt like just drawing Ricky, giving how I haven't drawn the plump raccoon in a while, so I drew him dressed up as a turkey! I don't think he likes it, but that could be just me haha.

Quick Carrie Doodle

You've probably seen this cat character before, as I mentioned her before in one of my blogposts from earlier this month. Her name's Carrie and she's a dork. It's been a while I've drawn a proper doodle of her, so I doodled her on her Nintendo 3ds (Not Sponsored). Pretty proud of this one, giving how hard the pose was for me to get down ^^;

Tobi Kept on Walkin'

Something I've been wanting to doodle for a while, due to Tobi being influenced by the classic cartoon star Felix the Cat! So I drew Tobi doing what I refer to as The Felix Walk. Where he ruminates by walking with his head down and his arms behind his back. 

I also decided to color this sketch, since it has been a while since I've properly drawn a colored sketch.

Drawpile Doodles 2/?

It's been a while since I've shared some of these doodles, so I thought I'd post a few more stuff from my "Digital Sketchbook" if you will ;)

First drawing is of the internet reviewer The Nostalgia Critic! mostly drawn due to him being someone I always drew whenever I'm bored, and also because he's oddly fun to draw, giving how overly cartoony he is.

Next is a trio of doodles of my friend Serg! I mentioned him before on an older blog post. These were drawn for his birthday which was a few weeks ago. very proud of the second and third one due to how sorta expressive they look, bonus points for that little twinkle I added to the tip of Serg's finger.

Next two are caricatures of Osamu Tezuka and Uncle Walt himself! I gave Mr. Disney a pair of Mickey Mouse ears mostly for shits and giggles. Tezuka was just me drawing his normal persona that appears in his mangas.

 

The next two are doodles of old laptops. I have a huge fascination for old school computers and laptops, they always looked so interesting to me, and more cool looking that most modern laptops (coming from me who's using a modern laptop, typing this paragraph haha)

Of course I could not forget to draw The Green Goober himself! I wanted to dry and draw him with a unique kind of shading, sorta making it look like crayons/color pencils. Very proud of the final result, especially giving how it shows it's cute side :3 

Been a while since I've shown off my rabbit fursona so I doodled him looking goofy about to grill something, using a screenshot from a Samurai Jack DVD exclusive short staring it's creator Genndy Tartakovsky not sure if it's anywhere on the internet (Mostly Archive.org and YouTube)

This one's something I'm very proud of, a very furious Super Sonic! Using a screenshot of Goku from Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13 and also a panel from one of the Archie Sonic comics when drawing the expression, with a few of my own added touches too it.

And last but not least, a quick doodle of Roxas from Kingdom Hearts! I've been meaning to doodle him sometime, and I guess today was the day, this was pretty difficult for me, giving how I've never drew Roxas' normal outfit that he wears instead of his Organization XIII hooded coat, the Keyblade was also pretty tough to draw giving how I've always had an issue getting it to look right, even when drawing Sora.

Regardless, I'm very proud of the final result! was gonna shade the hair too but I decided to keep it flat.

Happy Mickey Mouse Day!

(Originally Drawn on November 18th) So I heard from a little birdie that on November 18th it's Mickey Mouse Day! A sorta holiday celebrating Uncle Walt's main mascot Mickey! I haven't drawn much of the michevious mouse himself in a while (Blame my little artistic crisis for that haha) so I quickly whipped up this sketch of Mick.

Rock 'n Rush!

Something I haven't done on a hot minute was drawing things related to Mega Man, mostly due to me loosing interest in the series. But I felt like drawing a quick sketch of Rock (Mega Man's actual name) and his Dog Rush! Mostly for practice. Really proud of how I drew Rush specifically, though his head's a bit bigger than Rock's ^^;

Chibis!

So here's an interesting idea I've had for a while.. Chibis! mostly Chibifying my own cast of characters, I chose three to do this with, Clover, Orchid, and Fynn! 

This was very fun to do and was fun to see how these three could look with super deformed proportions, the main influence for how these characters looked was both from the lobby avatars in Dragon Ball FighterZ and the work of Mike Picone (aka Foneycone) who draws characters in his titular simple style go check out his webiste why don't you?

I might make this an option for any clients wishing to commission me via my Ko-Fi I might do this again sometime in the future, If I feel like doing so of course.

Recently I got commissioned by RedemptionMario177/RM177 someone who previously commissioned me in the past, this time they wanted me to draw his Dragon character with Klonoa! A character I haven't drawn in a hot minute so this was kinda tricky for me, but I am proud of how I drew him here, along with RM177's dragon character.

Fynn!

I kind of rarely draw any of my human ocs, but I felt like reworking one that I feel like needed a rework the most, Fynn! A character inspired by both Kingdom Hearts and Jet Set Radio. He originally looked like this when I tried to give him Yamcha's eye shape, needless to say I'm not proud of this look.

So I got my paper and pencils and sketched out this new and slightly improved Fynn! 

I decided to give him a more simple haircut than what I had before, along with changing his eyes, and giving him slightly more baggy pants. I might tweak his design more to fit my ever changing artstyle haha.

Fly the Vampire Bat

Recently I've been looking at the work of japanese artist Satoshi Okano who is best known for his work at SEGA more specifically Samba De Amigo, Billy Hatcher, and of course Sonic the Hedgehog. More specifically the art he made during the era in between the Sega Saturn and Sonic Adventure 1. One character he made while working at SEGA that stood out to me is Fly the Vampire Bat, a seemingly original character Mr. Okano made during the development of SA1. So like any artistic nerd would, I HAD to draw him! Adding my own personal touches too it without straying to far from the original design.

Artistic Crisis.

A bit of a more serious blog post but it's something I've been meaning to get off of my chest for a while.

I've been going through a bit of a crisis when it comes to my artwork, if there's something you need to know about me is that I'm a massive perfectionist, anything that looks off to me even if it's very minor I scrap it and leave it on the cutting room floor. Along with me feeling like I rush my work just to put it out there for people to give me grace and love when that's not helping my creative process.

It's why I rarely do stuff I wish to do, because I always wonder "Will this become popular or will It flop and I'll remain in obscurity." I never tend to break put of my comfort zone often and it causes me to play things WAY to safe, and it lead to things being stale. I wish I wasn't chicken and could break free and be able to experiment without feeling like I'm constantly being judged.

I want to draw stuff not just for you guys but for most importantly, me.

The Various Expressions of Mr. Wulf

So I realized that my expression game has been.. halted for the most part. So I decided to use one of my more toony characters Mr. Wulf himself! mostly using model sheets from stuff like Lupin the Third and Tom and Jerry. also with some of my additional touches to make it work in my current style.

Drawpile Doodles 1/?

So since I currently don't have the proper motivation to do full art pieces 24/7 as much as I used to have, I've resorted to simple doodles using Drawpile! It's honestly been a very useful as a digital sketchbook for me (especially since I don't really draw much in my actual sketchbook anymore haha). I normally post these on Bsky but it felt a bit unfair to not have some of them up on there so lemme share a few.

These first few were drawings from a live stream I did last Saturday (which you can check out the VOD here! I'll admit I did end up sounding a bit more quiet so you'll mostly only be able to hear my friends talking over me ^^;)

Next few were doodles I've drawn from yesterday and today, mostly Sonic related due to me wanting to make sure I didn't forget how I would draw the Sonic characters. along with a doodle of my friend Puck's fursona :D

And finally some late night doodles of Stitch and Reuben from the Lilo and Stitch series and Shadow the Hedgehog wearing a cool jacket, mostly inspired by Leon from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

Not sure if I'll make this a recurring thing on this blog but if I feel like it I might.

Jigen the Tigger

So here's a pretty odd post, a while back I was looking for a photo to use on Discord and Bsky and remembered this one edit fellow artist Travis Bickerstaff made of Winnie the Pooh and friends dressed as the cast from Monkey Punch's Lupin the Third. The one that stood out to me the most was this one of Tigger dressed as Jigen Daisuke. 

Not too sure what drove me to this one specifically but I decided to make this my pfp.

Though that wouldn't be enough to satisfy me, I knew that eventually I would have to draw him so I whipped up a few sketches of Jigen Tigger, giving how this was my first time drawing Tigger and too a lesser extent Jigen I obviously had trouble getting it to work in my style, but eventually I managed to figure it out! 

Honestly very proud of how these came out, even if these were done mostly ironically haha.

Julius Katz

So out of boredom I decided to create a new toony character, Julius Katz! a blue kitty whom I take obvious inspiration from Felix the Cat and a more obscure star Julius the Cat (explaining why he's also named Julius haha) I also tried to add some Tezuka influence while he's a little bit more Anime/Manga influenced while still retaining the Rubberhose influence. I also drew him a love interest but I might dedicate more time working on her before I unleash her to the public (or you could check out her concept art on my Bluesky lol)

I also tried to make a lineless sketch and it came out pretty well! If I ever decide to draw him in Flash I might give him a more navy blue coloring, I feel like it would fit him more. Still proud how it looks, really shows off his cute factor

Tobi the Alien Model Sheet

So out of boredom and because I feel like he deserves one, I decided to whip up a model sheet for The Green Goober himself, Tobi the Alien! Mostly encase I (or someone who's more experienced) decide to model him in 3D, also so I can make sure things are semi-consistent whenever I draw him

Oswald: The Forgotten King

So here's something I've been meaning to do for quite a while haha, revamping my old Kingdom Hearts Oswald design, along with the Lucky Keyblade! Taking a lot more influence from how Mickey's outfit looks in Kingdom Hearts 2. with my own little touches to it ;)

Decided to make it lineless since I feel like it would fit something like this more. I did decide to keep his overalls as it would be a nice added detail to separate him from Mickey. Along with semi-simplifying his Keyblade, I might draw him with another one if I feel like doing so (aka whenever I know how to draw more complex Keyblades haha)

Mr.Wulf Sketches

Drew this yesterday but I forgot to post it, decided to draw my Wolf character again mostly expresssions. Giving how he's a more cartoony character (Mostly Disney influenced) I referenced character sheets of Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse when doodling him.

Tobi with a Korean Corn Dog

Apologies for the lack of posting from the past few days, my birthday was Wednesday and it made me get side tracked ^^;

Anyways, I felt like drawing a colored sketch of Tobi the Alien, since I haven't done that in a while, giving the green goober a corn dog! Korean style! Mostly due to me watching many videos on YouTube of Korean corn dogs being made. Who knows? Maybe I'll make my own someday!

SUPER SONIC!
